Bank Loan Investing: A Nordic Perspective
 

Kirstein A/S has collaborated on a Topic Paper with Eaton Vance Investment Management in the new Nordic Fund Selection Journal. Kirstein A/S has provided insights into the investment trends of Nordic institutional investors pertaining to bank loan. We have a long and extensive relationship with several of the largest institutional investors in the region, and we have collaborated on a paper, where we share our views.

Nordic investing in bank loans has its origins, as far as can be established, in Denmark around the year 2005. The appeal of the asset class initially was its extremely stable returns. Finnish investors were quick to follow suit, while Norwegian investors were slightly later adopters. In recent years, interest in bank loans has increased markedly across the Nordic region.
